whats the difference between the two, could I use a leupold vari-x 2 (rifle model) on a muzzleloader without wrecking the cross hairs on it. have a nikon omega 1.5 to 5 and just dont like it so im thinking about buying a leupold for the triumph. I have a leupold on a centerfire that dosnt get any use so I was thinking about using it

If it is a good quality and has plenty of eye relief you can put a rifle scope on a muzzleloader

Absolutely--I have a VariXII on one of my Omegas and another one on a slug gun. You don't have to have a "muzzleloader" scope on a muzzleloader.

It could also be set to a different parallax setting. I believe most muzzy and shotgun scopes are set up for 75 yards while the rifle scopes are set to 100 yards.

I would shy away from the lesser brands as the ML recoil is more then a rifle.
