Very unique looking ML, I like it. :yeah:

Who makes this 7ga?

I did, just one of my home made creations, if you click on my [little house] you can see more of the 'stuff' that I make!

Sorry but the link [little house] did not work for me.

Try again, it worked for me, anybody else having trouble reaching my webpage?

Plain Jane 11-87 synthetic Sportsman with Remington turkey choke.

Winchester 1300 Black shadow turkey, Weaver 1-3x scope, Hastings .675" dia extended choke tube. Patterns well at 40 yards with several different brands of #4 lead shot loads. Killed my bird at 45 yards last year.

Under development- I picked up a Mossberg 835. It needs adjustable sights to get the pattern where it's pointed. So far, it doesn't pattern any better than the my Winchester. But, I need to try a few more things.

White Tominator 12 gauge w/Hastings II .665 choke. 95 grains Pinnacle ffg, 2 1/8" lubed felt wads, Balistic Products Multi-Metal cup 3.5", 2 1/4 oz copper platted #5s and two 1/4" foam insulation wads on top.

Works for me

New England Arms 10 gauge with 30mm Ultra Dot mounted as long eye relief, Winchester Supreme with 2 oz of #5 shot - 1300 fps, I just sort of aim in the general direction.

Browning 3" Gold fully camo with Mossy Oak Obession. Scoped with Nikon 2X20 EER. Shooting Nitro Ammunition's Hevi Shot loaded with 4x5x7's thru a Primos Jelly Head .670 tube.

Pellet counts on a 9" pie plate at 40 yds around 150 consistently.

I have two turkey guns. My favorite is my dad's old 1897 Winchester (exposed hamer) pump gun. It has a 28" barrel and a full choke. It throws a pretty tight pattern but not quite as dense as most turkey chokes, but it still will kill reliably out to beyond 40 yards. Even the game wardens love to see that old gun when I get checked and my dad gets tickled when I send him a picture of another turkey taken with his old shotgun.

My other gun is a plain jane Remington 870 express with synthetic stock. I use this when I plan on stalking turkey or during bad weather. If it get's a little scratched or banged up I am not going to worry. The 3" shells hit harder and shoot farther than the 2-3/4" shells I use in the '97 Win.

How well I remember the 97's. It is nice to see one still being used.

Back in 1976, my dad came home one day telling me that the local hardware store was closing. They had a new shotgun left in inventory and he wanted to know if I wanted to buy it. It was a Winchester Model 37A 12 gauge, full choke 30" barrel. For $23.00, I couldn't refuse.

Here is a picture of it with a jake I shot in the fall of '88.

I just filled a spring archery tag (in the Bowhunting forum) and I'm thinking of buying a second tag that will be good for either gun or bow. I was thinking I might get the shotgun out of the safe, as I still have some 3" copper plated buffered 6 shot left from '88. I seem to hold on to everything, as I just realized I called in my archery turkey last Saturday with the slate and striker "supporting" the jake in the picture.

Got a bird on opening day with my Tominator used same load as ewald above. Been carring my 870 Express ever since.

Brownging BPS 10ga with lengthened forcing cone, polished bore, .695 extended hastings turkey choke. 2.5oz nickle plated 5's Ballistic Products reload. Here is a 40yard pattern but cant remember what size circle it is, thinking either 10 or 12 in.

Mine is an 870 supermag with a Indian Creek choke tube at I believe either .655 or .650 shooting 2 1/4oz #6 heavishot. Rediculous patterns. Best to date is 177 pellets in a 7" circle at 40 yards. But their is a down side to this, anything under 20 yards and the pattern is more like a rifle. Very easy to miss. Man I am glad this post came along, that reminds me I need to get back to my pattern board.

I will be using a 12 gauge Thompson Center New Englander shooting 90 grains of Goex 2f and 100 grains of #5 shot. I will be loading an over the powder card, then a fiber wad, the shot and finally two over the shot cards. I want to be 30 yards or closer. But would like 20 yards. It has a full choke and seems to have a very good pattern. It will be my first year with it.

White Tominator, 100gn T-7ff, BP3" Pink slit Shot Cup, 2 1/8 oz of #5 with a 1/4" felt wad over the shot. Good to 50 yds

mossberg 935, rattle can camo job, factory full choke tube federal heavyweight 3 1/2 " 1 7/8 oz. 7 shot. great patterns out to 50 yards but most birds are shot at 25
