Re: Dropping Blackhorn 209 powder charges from RCBS Uniflow?

https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1458295370/rcbs-uniflow-powder-measure Here is the one I was looking at but in the special notes it says this is for the small adjustment screw and I can't find the one for large. Shawn I kind of like the looks of the Hornady and would be able to use both powders, I...

Re: Remington Filing For Bankruptcy

Remington shotguns have always fit me nicely 1100, 1187 and 870's. Have been eyeballing one of the V3's but not sure now.

Re: Dropping Blackhorn 209 powder charges from RCBS Uniflow?

I have a Redding throw and with some of the larger powder kernels I get a bit of "crunching" when throwing. I would think Triple 7 might work but I think the larger kernels in BH209 won't work very well in mine. Please be aware that most of these type powder measures tell you NOT to use b...

Re: Dropping Blackhorn 209 powder charges from RCBS Uniflow?

Ok I looked at Midway they have a large or small Micrometer Adjustment screw and the large goes from 5-110gr's. So I guess one wants the large, might have to try one of these with some birthday money. Thanks

Re: Dropping Blackhorn 209 powder charges from RCBS Uniflow?

Forgive me if I ask something ignorant but have no experience with these. I have thought about getting this setup because it looks fast with no mess. Couple questions the one I have seen comes setup to drop 50gr's how does this work if you want to shoot105gr? And I see you talking about different we...

Re: Informal low light scope test

Sounds like fun and you need to get a shooting bench built this summer :D . I wonder if you can have the older scope reworked or brightened for lack of a better word. I've got 3 older Leupold's that can't hold a candle to the brightness of my new Nikon, so I've been meaning to contact Leupold CS to ...

Re: Triple 7 and the famous crud ring

I thought I'd posted this already but sometimes I hit the back button instead of submit. Is the crud ring associated with just the 209 primer or does it exist with the #11 percussion cap as well? Thanks. The extent of the 'crud ring' depends a lot in what you might use for bore maintenance.... It w...

Not sure why folks are getting there panties in a twist over this. Like minded folks discussing things that are of interest to us. Re: Weight

None of my BH tubes read the same as my powder measure. They are all pretty consistently 10 gr short, If I measure 100gr in measure it shows 90 in the tubes.
