Does anyone produce a bullet like the Remington blunt nose CORE-LOKT bullet for muzzleloaders?

The Hornady XTP can be used in sabots, I think that is what is in some of the TC bullet paks. I like the 300 grain Speer .458 in a black crush rib sabot in my 50s, plenty accurate and kills like lightning. Just my results yours may be different. W
Wolfer,

I found the Horned XTP 45 cal but I could not find anything on the T/C bullet paks 300 grain Speer .458 in a black crush rib sabot. Do you have a link to them? What sabot would you suggest for the XTP?

Ok folks, I just had a long talk with one to the techs at Remington Arms and of course he thinks his employer's stuff is the finest, but after talking with him he suggested the following and I kind of like it. He suggests the Remington Premier AccuTip Muzzleloader bullet. It is a solid copper unit with a polymer point weighing in at 250 grains. So far I could only find it at Cabela's http://www.cabelas.com/catalog/search_c ... em1=218976 in boxes of 24 going for $29.99 or $1.25 each. He also said that the ballistic coefficient is 0.210 for the bullet. He also said that they had a 100% rate of mass retention.

I am sure the photo that is used in Cabela's add showing a spent bullet was picked from many shot. The tech did say that it was fired into ballistic gel.

Not to my point...Does anyone have any experience with this bullet good or bad?

I went through ten pages on Google looking for better prices and that seems to be it for now. I hope someone can shine some light on the bullet for me.

Barnes and Remington are owned by the same company. The bullets are made by Barnes with a different tip. If you do some searching, every once in awhile you can find the 24pk of Barnes TMZ bullets for $17. That's when to buy a case. In most cases Midway is where you'll find them being closed out after the season.
His weight retention is meaning without the tip. Barnes do exactly what they're supposed to do. I've shot literally thousands of them and also a couple hundred whitetail with them too.
The photo you seen of the bullet, is how the bullets expand, unless shot at lower velocity. Just like a 250gr Barnes ;)

TC packages the XTP with sabots. TC does not package the Speer bullet that I have seen.

You can just buy the XTP in boxes of 50 and then buy the sabots separately and usually save money doing so.

The Speer is not packaged as a "Combo" anymore that I know of and you would have to get the Harvester Sabot separately. Not sure which Speer he means in .458 diameter. Maybe this one?

Harvester Crush Rib Sabots.

I like the .452 300 grain Speer Deep Curls (pistol bullet for 454 Casull) but they are very hard to get.

Question : does the Redemption take the same size hinge pin as the encore? If not are over sized ones available?
