Standard shotgun 209 primers and the 777 brand ? Is one that much hotter than the other ? I picked up enough to last the rest of my lifetime of 777 brand 209 primers yesterday for $2 a pack of 100, got 10 packs on clearance at a local farm supply store. Wife kinda looked at me funny when I dropped them in the shopping cart.. :lol:

The ML 209 Primers like the 777 209 Primer were desiged as a reduced heat primer for use with sub powders like loose 777 or Pyrodex to reduce or eliminate the crud ring. Like GregK stated they are too cool of a primer for Bh209.
