Well, I tried taking apart my Encore myself. Bad move. I took it to my gunsmith, Dave Klotz, of DaMar Gunsmithing, and he stoned all the surfaces and slicked her up nice. It used to break around 4 lbs., but now it breaks at 2.75 lbs. He did me a solid by not charging me. I have taken him home made goods like jam and things, and he said this was a fair trade in his eyes. I cant wait to hit the range. :D

Sorry you had so much trouble, but glad someone took care of it for you.

It sure makes a big difference. I used to set mine at 2#. Did you change the stock springs from the hammer, firing pin and locking bolt to the HD springs?
