One little thought to add to all of this...

Hodgdons T7 powder in it's natural form is white also until the black dye is added. In those day Hodgdon's thought we would never accept a 'white' powder as a Black Powder sub.

The composition of Triple7 is a bit different than White Hots or BlueMZ. Its also contains 10% charcoal among other things.

I picked up the pack at Wal-Mart and the package price for 24 was $11.83, so that would be about .49 cents each.

Ouch, that makes Blackhorn209 look like a bargain if adjusted for equal velocity.

It would be very interesting if you have a chrono and could test a 2 pellet load.

The 24 is all they had... I've heard the price per pellet is lower on the larger pack.
