Help me cva optima and tc impact

I purchased a cva optima yesterday and the plug for the primer already messed up but I also couldn't get it to shoot good for me I'm not a perfect shot but I don't THINK it's all me what kind of load combo will make it shoot right also what will shoot good in my tc mpact

How is the plug "messed up"?

What powder, primer, bullet and sabot were you using?

I have an optima and love it... I am curious about some details on this.

My Optima shoots just about anything I stuff down the pipe. I'm currently using the full bore 300 grn Thor with 100 grns black horn and federal 209A. Three shot inch and one half group at 100 yds. You say the bp has messed up? Do you mean blow by? Maybe use the o-ring? As far as the TC iirc one of the forum members is using the Barnes Tmz boattail with great success. If using loose powder in the Optima are you using the loose powder breach plug? Are you cleaning the flash channel with the appropriate size drill bit?
