The piece that was lost goes in the stock (supposed to be pressed in) in the screw hole just in front of the trigger guard that attaches the stock to the barrel. The question is, is this piece available separate from the stock? I lost it and need it replaced before muzzleloader season in January.

You can always try calling Knight. You may have to leave a message and wait for a callback. Is is just a spacer or hollow pin type deal? Maybe you could just 'improvise' in some fashion or another?

There are gun parts schematics at Numrich gunparts, they may have the exact replacement part?

If you can track down an owner's manual maybe you could get the exact part number? That would help finding the part.

The USAK American Knight and LK-93 Wolverine schematic doesn't show the "belly buttons" in the drawing. The Bighorn and up rifles all have them in the schematic drawing.

The Reference number is S18 for the Stock Bushing. The Part Number is 010202.

The technical name and numbers is as follows:
S18 010202 Bushing, Stock, .250 Blued

Probably going to have to call Knight, but according to the period correct Instruction and Safety Manual, it was never in the American Knight. So, you probably didn't lose it. If the stock hole is tapered/countersunk like the mating surface of the screw, it never had one. See below.
