I have 3 current model CVA rifles. I had read the past posts about shimming the firing pin bushing for a slight primer crush in order to stop blowback around the primer, however, because of pure laziness, I just used o-rings in the primer pocket. It was easy to do and it worked. I finally got motivated and got 3 of the bushing kits from CVA and sat down one afternoon and shimmed the firing pin bushings on all 3 rifles for a slight crush with Winchester primers. I should have done this a long time ago. All blowback is eliminated and you never have to mess with the o-rings again. I highly recommend that anyone with a CVA rifle consider doing this. It's not at all difficult to do. Do a search of this forum and you'll find detailed instructions. Below is a photo of the last 5 Winchester primers from today's shooting.
