I have a 209 that has been abused over the years and I need to redo the blueing on it. I'm having trouble removing the barrel from the receiver. I have removed the barrel lock screw but I can't figure out if the barrel is threaded to the receiver or pressed in. Does anyone know how to remove it?

Thanks you

I suspect that the Receiver/ Barrel Assembly has an "interference fit", where the receiver is heated-up (& expands, maybe 0.002") and the barrel is pressed in, resulting in approx. 0.0015" "pinch" fit. It seems apparent from the manual that Traditions treats it as a "One Piece" assembly; check with them to verify what the best what to proceed is...

Good Luck!!

I called them and the person I talked to wasn't entirely sure. I tried taping it a few times but nothing moved. I started sanding one down. It's just going to be a pain sanding the area where they meet. Thanks for the response.
