Ive had the opportunity to learn and build some cool muzzleloaders over past several years.
I have goal of building muzzleloader that will shoot sub moa groups at 1000 yds. That be under 10" group at 1000.

Well over last 8 months of gathering parts and supplies and working on it when time allowed.
I think i have it ready.

Remington 700ml with asg hybrid ignition system , .400/.408 rock creek 28" barrel 1-13 twist barrel with custom baffled harrell break, timney trigger, murphy 20 moa stainless base, seekins rings, vortex level, 6x24-50 vortex hst scope and my favorite mcree 40x precision stock.

Bullet picture is big part of this project.
Red tip bullet basic hornady 40 cal 200 gr sst with average ballistic coefficient.
Silver tip is a custom 408 cal 325 gr beast with unknown ballistic coefficient but im sure its at the top of muzzleloader bullet world

What would you guess the max safe speed a 40cal can achieve with a 300-325gr bullet and BH209? Do you think 2200fps is doable?

I don't know for sure yet but definitely beyond 2200 fps.

At 2200fps with a 300gr its an exact duplicate of 405Win ballistics. Hornady sells a 300gr bullet in .411 but of course it would need substantial resizing and its pretty poor for long range use.
