I recently bought a Thompson Center Pro Hunter and put a Nikon Inline XR 3x-9x scope on it. I want the BDC to be as close as possible using 100 volumetric grains of Buckhorn 209. I have read on almost every forum that the Buckhorn burns hotter than the Triple 7 that I use to use (3 pellet loads). I guess my question is: Is 100 grains (2 pellets) of Triple 7 equivalent to 100 volumentric grains of Buckhorn?

According to the manufacturers data above, no, 2 pellets of Triple 7 do not equal 100gr by volume of BlackHorn 209.

Ever use Nikons SpotOn software for the BDC scopes? It's free and works well.

Yes, I have and it works perfectly with all of the other scopes that I use with it. I'm just trying to figure out what the Blackhorn powder is equivalent to in reference to the Spot On tables.
