making some Muleys

Hey to the gang!

just stoppin' in to show a couple of locks I'm making in the shop.

Top lock is my design, blending a few features I liked from a couple of original locks I've seen. The plate is shaped off of a bob'd tail, Large SIler Flintlock
I have in the shop. The lower lock is patterned after a Medberry style. both are still in the rough state need to do some cleaning up, tweaking the fit and finish.. then do some heat treatments where it's needed..as they are, they have just had some of the 'shop goo' knocked off with a quick pass through the wire wheel.




IF nothing else,when i get time to work o them?? it keeps me out of the bars?? :lol:

There's a bunch of them down in the shop!!! :wink: just gotta coax them outta the pieces of steel that
are down there?
