Pedersoli has announced a new rifle - love these styles! No doubt it will shoot based on their Gibbs LR version.
I would have named it a mid-range as I believe it will shoot just fine to 500.
Short range - one would think it should have a rear barrel sight.

That is a FINE looking rifle for sure! Wonder what kind of price tag it will carry? Buffalo Arms was gonna start carrying the Pedersoli line, and be able to order anything from them that they don't carry. I will ask the guys about this one, i might end up at Buffalo Arms tomorrow, if so I'll get the scoop
