I have a .54 Lyman Trade barrel with 1/48 twist and am looking at the possibility of stabilizing a .50 diameter 300 grain Speer deep curl bullet which would be loaded in a mmp .54/.50 sabot. Could someone tell me what the length of this bullet is? It needs to be less than .650 according to the calculator.

I have a few left and those were between .624 and .627 for the .500 300gn DC.

While not the deep curl, I have shot 325grn Rainer HP .500 in the purple 50x54 sabots. Decent accuracy at 75yds, right around a 2 inch 5 shot group. This was out of my 54cal Trade rifle 1-48.
