Seems like Black powder is a pretty powerful powder in of it self. I mean in the 1861 to 1865 civil war they hurled 9 lb steel balls with black powder. So if carefully select, and weighed, smokeless might work very well in muzzle loaders. Only problem is; no one quantifies the energy in a grain of powder of each type, but seems like everyone points to burn rate as the most important thing. Probably another factor is the bulk density of a given powder.

Is this a smokeless rated muzzleloader?

If it is a blackpowder only muzzleloader dont do it.

Fyi shotgun powder is very fast definitely bad ideal.

Yes blackpowder is powerful but absolutely not comparison to smokeless powder and pressure created

Just a word of warning. There will be no discussions allowed about using smokeless powder in a ML not rated for smokeless powder. Take it to PMs or you may have posts deleted. There is a section here you can discuss using smokeless in MLs designed for it such as the Savage, NULA or custom builds with CF grade barrels.
