Our club has started tractor work recently preparing our food plots, mostly bush hogging. Weeds are always a problem since we don't have a turning plow. Deutz and Ford tractor pics.

You can often get a 2 bottom plow for around $200 for a 3 point type.

Time to think about food plots...
You gotta be kidding, we'll be seeing snow it the next 4-6 weeks. I completed most of my late summer planting a month ago. I would have planted earlier but it was extremely dry.

Yep...It IS about time to get the old tractor fired up! The problem is...WHEN? Need another good rain too!

What did you plant way up there HawgHunter?
Here's what I accomplished in '06 on top of maintaining 4 plots totalling about 4 acres in clover/chicory.

Plot 1. 0.2 acre brassica mix
Plot 2. 0.1 acre brassica mix
Plot 3. 0.35 acre forage peas & brassica mix
Plot 4. 0.25 acre brassica mix
Plot 5. 1.0 acre RR soy bean & brassica mix
Plot 6. 0.52 acre buckwheat & brassica mix
Plot 7. 0.5 acre buckwheat & brassica mix
Plot 8. 1.2 acre RR soy bean, brassica mix and Kura Clover

The brassica mix consisted of:
9lbs Maximum
10lbs Shot Plot
5lbs Barnapoli Rape
5lbs Dwarf Essex Rape
5lbs Purple Top Turnips
