Day before yesterday.
In woods at 0600. Fired 1 shot at medium size buck at 0815.
Range: 32 paces from ground blind.
Load: 405 gr. powerbelt in front of 2 pyrodex pellets
Gun: Encore 209-50
Results: Ran 35 yards and fell over.
Entry hole just behind shoulder and in lower third of left side of body.
Exit hole about the size of a golf ball midway between right front shoulder and hip. For all I know, the slug is still going.
Blood trail looked as though someone had spilled a can of red paint in a line from point of impact to dead deer. Could have been followed by a blind man.
Conclusion: I could not ask for, or expect, better performance from the bullet. Powerbelts work just fine as long as you keep the velocity down to a reasonable level, use a heavy for caliber weight bullet, and put it in a spot that really matters.
Never forget that it is a front stuffer, and forget about trying to make it perform like a modern center fire rifle. If you feel the need to take 200 yard shots, use a 30-06. It's called "hunting", if it's 200 yards away, get closer.
Just my (not so ) humble opinion.

Congratulations on the deer. Sounds like that powerbelt worked just perfect.
