So as a long time deer hunter in mid Atlantic region, have had long time desire to shoot wild pig or two.

Most areas holding populations of feral hogs are several hundred miles from here, but by combining with a family vacation to Florida, was able to book 2 night hunting trip over bait in central Georgia. in 1 month.
Got weapon mounted green light, on my traditions ml, a lighted recital scope, and ordering a flir thermal vision spotting scope.

will take my optima pistol as back up shooter, but hoping by hunting all night to have couple opportunities..?

seems the preferred shot is just behind ear, but looking for any other advice or suggestions to help make hunts successful as possible.

had question if bleeding was necessary over night, liked idea of staying in blind til light, will have either 10 or 11 yr old son w me.

Again no hog experience, lots of deer though.

Thanks
