I was messing around today and ran some numbers but not sure if I'm using the correct BC . What is the aprox BC for a 530 grain .45 cal bullet ? I used .340 . I was surprised at the results I found . Mind you this is not real world ! I figured a 530 grain bullet (.340)traveling at 1300 fps with a 5 mile wind will drift 22.91 inches at 500 yards

A 270 grain bullet (.320)traveling at 1950 fps with the same 5 mile wind will drift 23.31 inches at 500 yards . Its almost a wash . Providing I'm putting in the correct numbers.

One very interesting fact the 530 grain bullet still has 999 foot lbs of energy at 500 yards . That's amazing to myself . I'm sure this is old news to most of you guys .
