Hello,

I have a 45 caliber Super 91 that I bought from Chet aka 1874sharpshooter a couple years ago. It has been a safe queen as the last muzzy tag I had was in Colorado and they have a 50 caliber limit. I drew a Nevada Muzzy tag and would like to get the 45 set up better. I have the rear Lyman peep sight and the stock front fiber optic bead on it now. The bead covers to much of the target at longer distances.

I know that many of you have already been down this road so any advise would be great. I was wondering if the Lyman 17 globe type sight would mount low enough on the front ramp?

Any advise as well as pictures is appreciated.

Thanks
Mark

The Lyman inserts that come with it probably wouldn't be the best bet at the range you are thinking of . You might want to check on some Lee Shaver inserts if you go that route .

Chet the Lee Shaver front sight is a little taller at .500 and includes a bubble level in it.

I may try that, any pro's or cons to that globe over the Lyman?
