Filled a tag today with a 5x5
He isn’t a trophy but the kids want to do a European mount anyway .

Knight 45 cal 1:20 twist
Eds 465 gr conical
90 gr pyrodex p
Only about 60 or 70 yards , didn’t range it cause he was close .
Didn’t go but a few yards so easy recovery.


Don’t worry Ed I will do it right next time with my White Super Safari

My boy started on the European mount
Still a long way to go but it’s underway

Great looking Buck! If I ever shot something like that I would have had it mounted.
 
Nothing wrong with that guy!! Looks like he would score in the high 120s, low 130s to me? I bet he’s good eatin as well, Was He Rutting? I’ve found these Whitetail stil taste darn good even in the Rutt. I grew up on the Wa coast, i cut my teeth hunting Blacktail there, They get REALLY RIPE in the Rutt, and nearly inedible! CONGRATS on your buck!!
