My brother had a Argo (I believe it was called) and you could get treads that went over the six wheels. It drove like a skid steer and could even go in the water. That was real good in snow. And in water it went about 2 mph. Nothing fast, but would get you there. He never drove it, and ended up selling it, but that was pretty cool..

That would make a good ice fishing vehicle...
 
Do they float. We have a problem over on Lake Erie where the ice breaks stranding fisherman on floating ice chunks. Emergency response is usually air boats.
