Yesterday, Saturday was Maryland's youth hunting day and I had my 9 1/2year old Son out for a Buck. He just could not steady his Pro Hunter in the ladder stand Saturday morning. He missed 3 bucks. I thought it might
have been a fall the rifle took the last time we had it out.

I took my standard Encore 50 Saturday evening and he missed again.
The 5th Buck was a charm..shoulder shot. Finally a hit and a four point.

He is to young to realize that 5 shots at Bucks almost never happens.
The Pro hunter GODS were looking after him. :D

Hey CONGRATS to the youngster! And yes, I'd say he was very foirtunate to get shots at 5 bucks!
Maybe one of them sling stix would work for him. 'Course they might be too long for him to use in the tree stand, but they look pretty cool.
Congratulations again!

Hey that is great choc-dog. It was just meant to be! Was that his first buck? Unlike me, maybe he got all of his misses over with right at the beginning of his hunting career! :D

not first deer

No, he killed his first 2 the first night of Maryland's early muzzle loading season. A B.B. and a doe.

I should have put a gun rest on his ladder stand. It will be on there before gun season.
