40-1 alloy bullets, has anybody powder coated them?

Have an accuracy report?

I powder coat a lot of bullets but can you be more clear on your question? Are you talking bullets for in a sabot or full bore bullets?
Someone here did do a post on this a while back but don't recall the outcome.

Never thought about one in a sabot, but you could increase the diameter and maybe add some bite.

I was thinking about full bore bullets.

I powder coat all my lead bullets alloy makes no difference
you get all the benefits that PC provides

Is there a newer product to coat bullets with, very similar to powder coat but a different chemical formulation? not boron nitride either.

54 cal, 475-485 grain bullets.

The powder coating worked well with 80-90 grains of FF Goex.

When I when up to 100 grains of Triple 7 3F, I started getting leading.

Small flecks on my cleaning patches!

Using a 1/8" felt over the powder wad did not help?

Powder coating, my H&R 38-55 has a bore of .383, great quality control. The biggest stock mold I could find was a NOE @ .381, tried paper patching to bump up the dia that worked but was labor intensive. Tried powder coating, one coating and the dia was a little over .382 , 2nd coating came out to .383+. I run those thru a .383 sizer and now II have a very accurate bullet, Just in time for Ohio gun season.
