HDR (Homeland Defense Rifle)

After the Jim Zumbo comments earlier this year I made a decision to go ahead and purchase a so-called "terrorist rifle. Truthfully I am not especially keen on the black styled weapons so I opted for a camo finish on mine. I saw on another forum the guys are using the moniker of HDR instead of AR and I kinda like that idea.
I don't know if this is a "cadillac of battle rifles" but I think I've always been kind of a pick-up truck type of guy any way.

Rock River two stage tuned trigger
Magpul PRS butt stock
Receiver and barrel coated with Norrells Moly Resin.

NICE! I built two AR's.

This gun shoots an even 25 gr Varget behind a 69 gr Sierra BT.

This pic was taken June'06 before I installed the YHM flip front. I'm wearing the yellow hat, third from the right. This gun has never hiccuped. Ever! I am considering an enadine buffer for followup shots but its just one more mechanical thingy that could fail.

I love this gun almost as much as my newly acquired TC Thunderhawk
