If I’m way overthinking this let me know. But I have a western precision peep setup on my omega for an upcoming CO elk hunt this fall. I’m starting to really get comfortable with it. I was wondering how durable it is riding in a scabbard on horseback for the pack in/ out? Does anyone know of a 3d printed option that could snap on from the top? If not i may start tinkering……

Should be fine in a proper leather scabbord. I’ve hunted a couple times with open sighted muzzys in scabbards - no issues. I do/would carry an extra fiber optic insert (I think that is the weakest part of the Western Precision sight) and cover the muzzle with electrical or duct tape.

That said, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to find or make a muzzle/front sight cover just to be safer. Never heard of a 3D printed option. Let us know if you find or come up with one.
