have they changed the rules or has it always been legal to hunt pronghorn with weapons other than archery ? I thought it was archery only about 7 years back ?

The general OTC pronghorn season is archery. The controlled hunts (ie. lottery) are varied, Any Weapon, Muzzleloader Only, and even Archery Only, depending on what hunt you apply and get drawn for.

So, to make this perfectly clear using IDF&G lingo, this hunt was a Controlled, Any Weapon, Either-Sex Season. I just choose to try for the biggest buck I could find and use a muzzleloader to do it.

Hey, SD any antelope in WA? Lots of plains in eastern WA...Just curious.

Nope there aren't any pronghorn in washington i had the same question a couple of years ago and was told that pronghorn and bison were never native in washington but i don't know how true that is. Apparently we do get a few caribou traveling through the extreme northeast corner of the state .
