Reformed Federal .308s, to .300 Savage, are on their 10th firing and no signs of quitting. Primer pockets are tight and they look as good as when first formed.
One of the goals was increased case life.
At this rate, the 60 cases I reformed should be close to a lifetime supply...
They also give better accuracy than factory .300 cases. A most welcome bonus!
Just a little effort can go a looong way. Scratches the " mad scientist" itch...

Periodic annealing should keep them going forever, with a quick trim now and then.

Actually, I'm using a full length die, set to give .002 headspace.
It's quite funny, how cases don't grow on firing, but do by .002 in the die. Expander ball...
I'm trying different bullets/brands/ weights, but have been using 39-40 grains of IMR 4064 and dabbled with AA2520. Have some Varget and IMR 4895 too.
Wish Hodgdon would publish date for CFE223... .30-30? Yup. .308? Yup.
Where's the love for this FINE ol' girl?
Don't mind the full length size. In my 99, neck size occasionally gets a bit tight chambering. In a hunting rifle, f.f.e must be 100%
