quite well actually! My fingers are blistered today from filing/shaping the grips, but they are oiled down, letting it soak in over night. The wood is just gorgeous! After the grips are completely shaped and ready, I can strip the gun, buff down the brass with 0000 steelwool and then black the brass out and let it wear off naturally.
