Just another safety reminder...never assume...

BELLEVUE, Iowa An auction for a family whose home burned down went off with a bang -- from a shotgun. Fortunately no one was seriously hurt.

It happened last weekend in Bellevue when two men were shot when a ten-gauge shotgun was accidentally fired.

Darrell Clasen of La Motte was struck in the arm. John Moellers of Bellevue was hit in the shoulder. They were taken to a Dubuque hospital, where they were treated and released.

Police say a ten-year-old boy put a shell in the gun, which was on a table of things to be sold. A man later picked up the gun and it went off.

Clasen says he and Moellers are going to be O-K, and that no one is holding a grudge

Somthing like this happen in a gun show I was attending. Someone left or placed a live shell in a gun and someone picked up the gun and fired a hole in the roof. You should have seen everyone hit the floor.

SAFETY, SAFETY, SAFETY
