Single digits this morning, up to 19 now. But the sun is bright, the mud is frozen, and there is virtually no wind. As cold as it is, I have been sweating like a pig while clearing brush. I am trying to establish a good fire break around the house, and this is perfect weather for it.
Tomorrow is supposed to be even nicer, with a low of 4 predicted and a high of 21. This place was an abandoned farm for 10 years, and the person renting it for the 10 years or so before that was a drunk so no work was done. Wild plums have just about taken over the property like along the road, and I am trying to reduce the fire hazard.
Right now I am waiting for the brush pile to burn down a little so I can rake it together. I hope you are having a good day too.
