We knew this week was going to busy with the sale of this home, but had no idea is would be like it has been so far.
Monday (SHOOT OUT) :shooter: :shooter: :shooter: :shooter:
Karen had a doctor appointment at the LDS Hospital in north Salt Lake. We get off of I-15 and start working our way over to State Street, all of a sudden there are Police cars all over the place and we are stopped half way to State Street with a patrol car pulling in front of us (the officer makes the car behind us backup and we followed). He's out of his car with his AR-15 then we hear some faint popping sounds. half way down the block a white truck had hit a business front and that trucked got peppered with rounds. Yes, that was the running gun battle that started in Taylorsville, West Valley City and ended in front of us, we sat there and watched the bad guy go down in a hail of bullets. Found out later that the police had shot over
1,000 rounds in the chase.
This held us up for a little while, then we continued on to the hospital with senior folks mad because of being held up in traffic (driving like crazy cutting each other off). We just kept driving in the first lane hoping no one would hit us as we were driving
defenseless (
my horn broke in the truck), had a pistol but that wouldn't help with the 55 & older group. :Questuon:
Tuesday
We meet with the folks that bought this house. Was to take a couple hours and start at 11AM, she ended up getting here a little after noon then came the parade of contractors; general contractor, painter, carpet guy, electrician, plumber. That went on from a little after noon until almost 7 PM. She's having the ceiling painted, can lights, new carpet, couple of rooms finished in basement, doorways changed, handi-cap items removed and a few other things changed. This is a new house built 2018 and didn't seem to matter to her, she said the husband told her "make it the way you want it". She's looking at $65 to $70K .... plus our house at close to $600K ... :Red tup:
Wednesday (today)
Appraiser
Thursday
Then the new buyer's counter top guy will be here to measure kitchen granite, she wants white counter tops.
This whole routine sounds like our previous home sale, those folks come in and buy your home which is in mint condition then tear it apart. Those folks from CA spent over $100K making the place a $675K home.
