Ok, I have never seen a good one to compare so this is helpful.
Thanks

Bore pics can be tough to get good ones, But that 50 LRH on Ebay is plenty good enough for me to AVOID it, I wouldn’t pay the Shipping fee for it.

Here is 2 decent bore pics, This Bore is beautiful, like a Mirror

And this one is a Brand New 3 Groove, It is not highly Polished, But you should get the idea by comparing these 2 pics to the Ebay pic

And here is the Ebay 50 LRH Again, This thing looks AWFUL

Thanks for educating me, I wonder about the ones sold on gunbroker that have no pictures of the bore. Hmmmm, interesting

I have no idea how the fraud was perpetrated but I still call BS on that 1300 hundred dollar deal.

It is a VERY RISKY Gamble you take when buying a used Muzzleloader/Muzzleloader Barrel online without being able to look at it. If the Seller has Perfect Feedback, and states that the Bore is “Mint” “Perfect” “as new” Etc. Condition, You are pretty darn Safe. It’s the ones that have some negative feedback, Don’t state anything about the Bore, or they say “Ok” “fair” That i would Personally avoid. You gotta remember, if these things were shot only 1 Shot and put away for any length of time without being cleaned, they are probably Rusted/pitted Junk. Again, it’s a Gamble buying used online

You did good Ed! I keep working on GM to start making a few of these again, they have corresponded back with me, so that’s a good sign
I have a .45 LRH, but if GM made a .36 or .32 I would be very interested. Still kicking myself for not getting one when they were still being made!

I purchased a Knight Disc Elite 50 in Stainless from Gunbroker for a friend. The photos looked really good and the add said it was well taken care of. When I received the rifle all was in good shape accept the barrel. The breech plug was seized and had to be removed by a gunsmith. When I called the individual who sold it he said that he never removed the breech plug and he didn't know it was required. He did send a partial refund but the rifle doesn't shoot like an Elite should. Be real careful when buying used muzzleloaders.

Everyone stop calling ,emailing or any other form of communication with Green Mountain Rifle Barrels. If they start producing the LRH line again...well there goes my retirement plans..I've got a 50 and a 45..few more years they will be worth a small fortune!:D
