Thank you sir....
How's your new one coming along?

Had my first range session Sunday. Well most of it was spent learning the sizing die. Had some hiccups but got the die figured out enough now to get the scope set at 100 yards. So next time out I’ll be able to start working on finding a load or two it likes. One things for sure is I am going to like this thing!

Excellent shooting! Can't ask for much better than that. Which barrel and breech plug are you using?

The barrel is a 26"MGM/ASG Preferred...Ignition system is ASG Gen2 LRM module system..
Had the trigger tuned by Haus of Arms set to 2#
Zen

Waiting for custom stock arrival to complete similar ASG configuration. Recommended load was 60grn 4198 - you went straight to 62/65 or did you work up?

Prior to shooting this gun I had set a limit of 40k psi due to the contour of the barrel...The two loads that I started with according to past pressure traces and using QuickLoads data that I worked up say that these amounts of powder used and the weight of the bullets used came out to around 38k psi...well below my set limit...Also I talked to several that have used these loads with good results...Zen

Here's some speeds you can expect to get with these powder, bullet combos..these speeds were very close to my calculated QuickLoads estimates.

Another thing to consider...If you're going with a laminate stock I would suggest that you install aluminum pillars in the forearm for additional strength...Before I put these in I had a couple split on me at the rear screw...

great info for a rookie sponge like myself soaking it all in where I can. I have a black walnut stock being made, hopefully no issues there.

Personally Jim I'd install the pillars even more so with the walnut forend....too nice of a piece of wood to take a chance and too hard to replace or repair if it cracks. These guns are hard kickers...good insurance and not too hard to install...
