20190904_184431.jpg A friend of mine, (who I met only online asking questions about my Whites) put me on a gentleman in east Tn. Turns out he had a Super 91, .504, stainless and composite. I drove 25 miles after work and took ownership of a apparantly unfired beauty.
For the princely sum of $300
Ain't life grand sometimes?

This PROVES to me that VERY NICE White rifles are still out there waiting. I will continue my search.

Yeah I did, Ed.
The guy told me over the phone it was a 8 out of 10 gun, but then said he didn't think it had ever been fired.
If that's an 8, I wanna see a 10. I can see NO evidence of it ever being fired.
At some point, someone mounted a scope, and the rear sight is missing. I have one, but I'm thinking of going with a Lyman 57 SMET.
Any thoughts? Is the older steel one a much better sight than the new aluminum version? I have located a clean one for $100. Too much?

Let me look tonight I might have a sight from one of the junk ones I ended up with

I have that one if you want it the adjusting screws look to be a little bit rusted but I think you could clean them up

Just want everyone to know that Rodeo is a man of his word. The rear sight offered above arrived today. I'm sure it wasn't a big deal to him, but it's nice to know there are still people like that out there.
Thanks Dave.
I will try to pass the good deed along to someone else.
