I like to think of it as being part of the brotherhood of the DWB's

Dang, I hate to notch an unfired pristine Super. Any other suggestions?
It's only unfired until you load it and pull the trigger. If you're worried about making personal touches to the rifle, you might as well put it on Gun Broker. With that being said, I have S91's that needed to be notched, and a couple that didn't.

Thanks guys.
Does anyone know the exact Williams sight that will clamp on the Weaver base?
I want to look at it before I decide.
Honestly the only reason for the peep is a potential Colorado elk hunt. Emphasis on "potential".

I don't think you will hurt the value of your rifle by making a notch for the lyman sight if you take your time and do a professional looking job. I'd use a file or fine rasp. There are plenty of pics if you need to see what the notch looks like.

Yeah, you're right flounder.
Heck, it was made to shoot.
The Lyman is a classic sight, and after I'm gone, somebody else can worry about it.

Life is too short.......

Maybe has to do with the caliber or bedding job idk but my .410 didn’t have to be notched.

Yea my 504 and 451 are both notched but they didn’t have the work done on them that you had done on my 410 1874, so I don’t know what made the difference I guess.
