My wife and I just got our stimulus money and now to figure out a way to spend it. I've been looking at the Traditions Tennessee rifle for a long time.
It's a full stocked 24 inch 1 in 66 twist barrel. I've only found one online dealer that even has one as they are an older model and no longer in production.
I'm sure I could talk my wife into the fact that I just need to have this rifle, after all, I'd be helping the country and the economy by quickly spending my free money.

Did you get it through SS direct deposit or do you pay taxes? I don't file for taxes anymore because the SS payment is my only income. I'm trying to figure out when we get the payment.

I bought a Isaac Haines longrifle myself with the money.

No, I get my SS through direct deposit too. That's good news. I must be close to getting it.

Thanks.

I'd get one of the new Traditions StrikerFires as my beginner's model if I knew who had one in stock. WE got our check Wednesday.

Oh I see, you know we did file taxes for last year. I don't know if that's the reason we got ours so quick?

Yes, that's the reason. Those who paid taxes went first because the IRS has all your info already. Those who don't pay taxes but get SS will go next. Maybe next week.

I just read that next week will be checks for those who filed taxes but don't have direct deposit. The following week will be for those who only get SS and don't file taxes but have direct deposit. After that will be really slow for those left. They said up to 5 months for some people.

skip the traditions and have matt avance build you a real rifle. tough to get excited about the italian rifles these days when you can get a handmade semi-custom for about the same price.

I will 2nd the Matt Avance at TVM. I've got a 58 cal Early Va. that is purely a safe queen. To good looking to drag around in the hills. I know that's what it's made for but I took it Elk hunting once. I spent most of my time worrying about dinging it on a rock etc. I did show it to a stellar bull elk....but...the shooter was not up to the challenge and I will leave it at that!

Yes, but she loves to go hunting. I kind of like a few marks. It reminds me of the fun I had with her. :D

I purchased a Browning Auto-5 20 gauge shotgun in 1974. Standard grade, but the buttstock had incredibly beautiful, swirling grain flowing all over the place.

On the first hunt with it I was tiptoeing around trying desperately not to brush up against anything, in case I might scratch it. Deer season had opened almost directly with dove season.

As we were getting ready to leave the public hunting land for the day, we had to hit the deck to avoid being shot by some idiot playing around with his new .30-06 bolt-action rifle.

Five bullets, one right after another, bracketed my friend and I, one coming so close you could hear it pass.

I'll keep to myself what I did to the gentleman with a complete lack of understanding viv-a-vis hunting ethics, courtesy, etc.

The upshot of hitting the deck, which I failed to notice until we were back at the car, was a nice ding in the buttstock.

That whole incident taught me an important lesson about pretty guns...

THEY ARE JUST TOOLS LIKE A PLAIN GUN IS!!!!

It's a shame to not use a gun for what it was made for. Would you marry a beautiful woman and not use her. :)
Like "My Line" do ya ??? Of course , as for a good woman , i Didnt put it Quite Like That......Glag you liked it BUT You Really Need to come up with Your Own Logic muley . Take the Hint .

A guns a bit different .
