Which Omega models were they making in .45 cal?
Thanks Ron for takin the time to go into detail with this info. I appreciate that as well as now having a clear accurate answer to my question, which leads to sound decision making & not wasting money/time on unnecessary things.Yes indeed. Without question. Turns a rifle that shoots conicals like shotgun pellets into a real good shooter. Did it four times; worked good every one.
However, will never do it again; it isn't necessary. One can just use the
MMP ballistic bridge sub-base
The sub-base cure accuracy issues due to the QLA; no need to cut the QLA off.
Heck yeah! Now yer talkin.TC Northwest Explorer. It's an Omega, in 1:48 twist. Mine wears a nice grey cammo composite stock, with RMEF logo. Stainless, .50. Didn't realize it could be re-barreled, as it looks like all one piece. I haven't been real pleased with the accuracy, so maybe I should have a nice fast-twist .45 put on it?
The 45 here is the standard model, stainless with black stock. Shoots great.Which Omega models were they making in .45 cal?
Have you ever checked the twist? My .45 is stainless and was in a black stock but I put it into a laminate one. The serial # is S and 4 digits.
Not quite. Actually they were different.

Anyone know if there is an easy way to identify 45s with a 1/20 twist? A serial number or something like that?
No, it’s in the S2700’s so I guess I should.Have you ever checked the twist?
mine was a 1:20 and i sold it to a member here like a dummy.
I have the same, it's 1:28 and I'm also selling mine set up the same way.I just found a 45 Omega and the nice gentleman agreed to ship it to me from Wisconsin. Hope to have it by next weekend. Black and stainless. QLA. He thinks its a 1:28 but isn't certain. Has a TC scope on it. Ive been doing a ton of side work lately to pay for it and my optima pistol.

Slightly off topic but, is the std Omega breech plug sufficient for BH209? Is there a flavor of primers besides the Remingtons that work well?
