I decided to up my measuring capabilities, My Old Stainless Steel dial calipers work great for Quick stuff, But sometimes it’s nice to know EXACTLY what’s What? That’s where this Mititoyo Micrometer comes in. This is Model #193-211, 0-1” .0001 (Ten thousandths of an inch) I didn’t want an electric Digital, I wanted a Mechanical display digital counter Readout, Along with Full Manual readout (including Vernier Scale to get you to the 10th) This little Mititoyo Micrometer is a NICE Tool. I looked at Starrett as well, But ended up going with Mititoyo
I also bought a Cast iron Micrometer Stand, These are SLICK! it’s difficult to Hold the Micrometer while Trying to measure certain things, This Stand Frees up your Hands, makes measuring SIMPLE
And a Set of Small Hole Gauges, The large one says 1/2 inch (.500) but it goes to .511, SLICK little tool for Checking Bore Diameters up to .50 Cal
