I do not have the equipment to cast my own bullet. I hope one day to be able to get into it but the area that I used to have set up as my "hobby/tinkering" area, now looks like a daycare (I have a 1 1/2 year old son and another on the way). Until I can reclaim my basement or kick my wife's car out of the garage, its procuring bullets for me. Can anyone point me into a good direction to get some cast bullets? I have a TC hawken with a stock .50 cal barrel and a .45 cal barrel that should be coming back any day now from being relined by Bob Hoyt. I just want some good cast bullets to use for hunting and target shooting and can't find much other than Maxis so far in my searches.

I recommend Bullshop Bullets, Lubed with his NASA Lube :lewis: I honestly don’t think you will find better quality Bullets. You will have to Correspond with them through Email, and if you purchase from them you have to Send a Check/MO to them, and they send you the product, There is no way to order from their Website. They are stil in Old Fashion Status.

Yeah I watched you video on them in your stock 1:48. Actually just got done rewatching it. Any new videos coming out soon?

Some 200 Yard stuff coming :lewis: Also a Brand new Rice Match Grade .50 Cal Barrel 1:24 Twist, I am pretty sure it will be here Tomorrow according to Tracking anyway, it’s been in the mail since the 18th

It will be REALLY interesting to see what he Chooses? Personally, I would go no Slower than 1:30 Twist, and would prefer 1:20 Twist
Called Bob today and he said 1:24 TR. He said he just got done putting in the liner today, so I guess all that’s left to do is rifling and finish work. Should be back to me soon

Looks like you got a bullet gun. Doesn't mean that round balls can't be used , just need to slow them down.

45cal 1-24 will work for a huge variety of bullets. Bullshop has plenty that will work in that twist. He has one labeled 405gr HP that looked interesting. Its a old Lee mould that has not be made in ages.

45 Caliber ~ Lee Moulds ~ .457 ~ 405 grains ~ HP

He does offer the Gould HP too. It will be close to 345gr if cast in pure lead.
45 Caliber ~ Lyman ~ 47122 ~ 330 grains ~ Gould ~ HP

These are both ".458s" so they need to be sized down. He does offer that too. You can also buy dedicated ML bullets from him. He was offering ".451s" from around 420gr to 488gr. Last time i checked with him it was under $50/100 bullets ready to shoot. Thats pure lead, lubed and sized to order.
