MM, if you had to choose only one of your patriot rifles which one would you choose and why. Very interested in your hands on experience with the WOODSMAN rifles. Thank you..I like the breech plug in both the rifles that I have it's not that different from any other common breech plugs, it does require a wrench it doesn't just screw in by hand , I like that more, the 24 twist is a McGowan that I have the 18 is a Brux barrel, he offers both,, I don't know of another lightweight factory rifle that you can get a brux barrel or a McGowan in, and Mark at huntsman rifles works with you and gives great support,, he has an adjustable breech plug I think on the rifles that he's building this year it allows the user to adjust for whatever 209 primer the shoot the shooter is using pretty cool I think!!
Hello GM. WOODMANN are out 12-15 weeks. Night ultralite are only available in western version. Can i convert that into a 209? And would the breech be almost water proof, as we hunt in alot of snow?Thank you Gm. You are a walking encyclopedia. Thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge with us that have questions..
Yes it requires a bolt housing and a breech plug swap. You can either get a bare primer bolt body and Lehigh plug or a FPJ bolt body plus the adapter and a plug. Takes minutes to swap parts around. The bolt internals are interchangeable without tools.Night ultralite are only available in western version. Can i convert that into a 209? And would the breech be almost water proof, as we hunt in alot of snow?
