Thanks Hornet22savage,

This is good information. I am like you in that I would have doubts about the XTP Mag based on on many other posts about the Mags being too tough for ML velocities.

Apparently the XTP Mag is designed for the exact velocities we see in our ML's. I will have to give them a try for sure.

This bullet weighs 285.3 grain.

They seem to retain their weight well. I've killed several deer with both the 250 gr and 300 gr .451 XTP, and they always seem to drop a deer in their tracks.

Not bad! For your next assignment, try some of these Speer

300 grain UCSP bullets. :)

I've had excellent results both on paper and on deer with those Speers. But I've never tried them on water jugs. :D

Ron, now you know I'm a cheap bastich. ;) Besides, I only have a few myself and can't seem to find them actually in-stock anywhere I've looked.

Hey bastich,

Scott sent me these last summer. They look like the right bullet. Are they??

We will test them when we get a chinook, or summer comes; whichever. How is the staples business these days?
