when I started I said I wasn't going to go over 650.00 then I went to 700.00 and ended up at 800.00, I just got stupid even though they are a killer rifle their not worth that kind of money.. glad he outbid me by 5.00.. I could of kept going but would of just made me dumber:) I remember now that you mentioned that he had same gun for sale.

$805 . You should have went that extra $5 :)
What’s funny is the one bidder had the same gun last week on the auction and the opening bid was 595 . It didn’t sell. He said he was going to give it to his son. This week he bids up to almost $800 for the same make model and cal gun he was selling selling last week that didn’t sell at 595
Dbowling you should have made one last bid :)
I watched that one , everyone had much deeper pockets than me so I didn’t even try . As a consolation, I was the only bidder on the Raglin Whitetail :). So I got it for opening bid , which was high enough but I not to awful out of line if it’s the condition he says .

The problem on Gunbroker is you have re-sellers now driving up the prices on guns beyond reason. I swear some of em are in cahoots with one another. They drive up the price knowing, if they end up winning at the ridiculous price, they'll turn around and sell it using the prior sale as an indicator of the what the "market" dictates. I've seen CWWenterprises do this several times. I'm all for capitalism but until people take a stand and not let their EBay egos get the best of them, it will continue. Pay for what the gun is worth and don't get into the "whatever it takes, you're not gonna outbid me on this gun" attitude. I have that exact gun and it ain't worth $800 in my opinion.

I too have thought there is something fishy going on with CWWenterprises. I have made some good purchases on gunbroker, more good than bad. It is definitely a case of "let the buyer beware" though.

I agree totally that's why I didn't bid anymore, never intended to go that high as I think they are great guns but not worth anything near that.

Pretty high starting bid and no info on condition of barrel breech or crown . Nice pictures of everything else :)

Man my S91-11 unfired from Doc was only 500. These prices blow my mind as of late

I thought the same thing. If the breech/bore was pristine I would certainly mention that if I was the seller. There are spots on the hammer an breech walls so that's doubtful...

I won't buy a White unless I can see it myself. Likewise, I won't recommend one I haven't seen.

What was the price on White rifles in the 1990's when they were new at the stores?

The starting price on that one is borderline reasonable considering it's a .451 and includes a scope/rings. My guess is someone will snatch it up and the price will be driven up by cww. I too would want to see pics of breech and bore. I suspect they're prob in good condition based on the condition of the rest of the gun. I paid $500 for that exact gun minus the scope/rings a year ago.(Which, incidentally, I'd be willing to trade if someone had a composite stock they wanted to trade)
