Man am I happy the holidays are done for a while. Maybe I can get something done for myself now. lol The weather has been cooperating nicely and the temps are making it great to be in the shop playing with my hobby again. I got a request from a salmon guide that does Lake Michigan for some walleye plastics for when his local rivers thaw out and I did these up for him today.

This is a Ripper bait made in a Do-It cnc mold. Its a 3" bait and these have been used all over here in Minnesota....Lake Mille Lacs, Lake of the Woods, Rainy River and the Mississippi River and in Wisconsin also, especially on the walleyes and smallies in the Bay of Green Bay of Wisconsin. The colors shown are the most popular I am asked to make for these areas.

Like I said, its nice to just get out in the garage and actually have some time to myself. Our weather is supposed to be like this for another week, so I'll take it. I might even take a morning to go shoot.

Not in this bait. There hasn't been a mold cut for a 2" or 2 1/2" at this company.

I like using them for crappie fishing, during the spawn they would more then likely hit a 3 in. bait or later in the fall when baitfish are getting bigger.

The baits in this picture are pretty bulky for crappie. I'll get a picture of some other paddletails I have in a 2" and 3" bait that crappies tear up. Check back in a bit.

The baits in this picture are copies of the Keitech Swing Impact baits. The two vertical ones on the left are the 1.5" version. Those on the right are 2" baits and the one across the bottom in orange and chartreuse tail is a 3" bait.

Right now all I have is a single, single cavity mold of each size, but I am planning to get a six cavity aluminum 2" mold ordered next month so I can make enough to actually fish seriously with them. They account for an awful lot of my crappies caught in open water and they work from ice out until ice up. My current molds are cut-stone molds and can't be injected as fast as an aluminum mold will allow. That 2" bait has been a seriously great bait on even the larger 14"-17" crappies we find here.
