....all of our snow is gone. Not a lick to be found. Want to take a guess what the weather forecast is for later this week?

Knee deep SNOW! You better get your Snowboard all waxed up so it Slides good :dance2: :D

That can be hard on wildlife this late in the season.

I’m completely ready for spring and enjoyed the 60 today and don’t want the snow. It’s funny to listen to people freak out and complain about this 12” of snow coming Thursday. It happens every year, we always get dumped on one more time in April. Last year I had to blow the driveway out on April 16th, then the following weekend swapped the blower for the mowing deck and mowed the yard. It’s just the MN winters way of saying goodbye for the season lol.

A bout of Afib got me up at 4 this morning so I was able to watch this unfold.

Its amazing to watch a sunrise and see just how fast it goes from that grey twilight to a burst of color, then loss the color to grey again.

I've followed this "super" storm stuff since it was first tossed out there that we may get some snow again. I've seen predictions anywhere from two inches to two feet of the stuff. Our local forecast doesn't have us buried now where it had suggested upwards of 20"....maybe a couple inches and lots of rain. It was 67 here yesterday and much cooler today with temps jumping right back up there on Friday so let it do what its going to do. Snow now won't last much more than a day. One concern is for additional flooding and this part of the country has had plenty of that already.

Snowing now big time. We're inside and warm. Well stocked so let it snow. The snow blower is within two inches of the garage door, fueled and ready to go. The birds are having one heck of a time holding onto the feeders when the wind gusts....I'm happy we don't live in the country. Its got to be bad once a person gets up on the prairie.

The major snow is pretty much done and I have about 4" of wet stuff. We're seeing some short periods of ice pellets now. What's in front of the garage should be a good "break-in" run for the new snow blower.

That Pic of them Poor Little Robins is Priceless! They got their a little to soon! :D

Most of our snow melted down to near nothing by 8 last night but then we got two rounds of thunderstorms, one at 2:30 AM and another at 6:00 AM that dropped about 5" of ice pellets between the two of them. Crazy weather. I think if we'd had been 25 degrees cooler we'd have seen snow like in Ron's picture, maybe more. This "mega" storm is history for us now but they're talking of another big system moving in for the weekend with lots of rain. Just what we need.

Pure Michigan...………
Snow comes, snow goes etc. etc. etc.
Another 4" snow possible tonight/tomorrow. Just drove around the lake returning from breakfast with the wife and even this heavy wind hasn't broken up the ice yet on Hubbard.
Just one more year that it will be sometime in May before the club's range opens.

Update for tomorrow...….. Yup, it'll be late May before the club opens the range. 6" to 8" tomorrow and as close to the big lake as we are, it just might double that. Just great :(

So, 3 maybe 4 months each year without snow?

Possible. These late April storms have been worse IMO over the last 5 or so years. Fall though is lasting longer most years. We've had 2' of snow back in the day on opening of pheasant season, Oct. 20th. Now it seems like its getting later in November. So its 6 of 1, 1/2doz of another.

Setting next to one Great Lake, with the other just a couple hours away either plagues us or helps us. Can't control mother nature..
