Waiting for a package.jpg

I received a tracking number and my Bestill Creations LLC rifle build is on its way!

Now that photo above will be reality around here Monday, which is the day the tracking number indicates it should be delivered.
I believe the wife said she was going shopping on Monday, early :)

I can not begin to thank Jeff enough for taking on this build for me. Jeff spent a lot time before this build answering my questions, but more importantly asking me questions about what I really wanted as an end result. Truth be known, I probably took up more of Jeff's time in the initial conversation than he had available, but, he made sure all my questions, and his, were answered. It just doesn't get any better!
My only hope is that this old man can be worthy of such a quality rifle. I will do my best.

The Remington 700 action was used from my BP Xpress along with the Jewell trigger. I also used my existing McMillan Game Warden Stock.

Jeff might provide some specifics later. However he did send me a couple photos that I'll share.

Now I believe in always giving a special rifle a name. I mentioned to Jeff that I already had a name picked for the rifle and he asked what that might be. I told Jeff the name would be DUNAMIS and he asked me if I'd like it on the rifle. OH YEAH!

For those who may be wondering what significance the name has or how I pronounce it, its DU..NA..MIS.

DUNAMIS: Inherent power, power residing in a thing by virtue of its nature.

Very nice. Jeff does awesome work. Not to mention he’s a great guy! He’s building a special rifle for me too....well it’s actually built. It’s on a 700 ULT chassis. The rest is “top secret” but it’s something he’s never done before. It’s actually built, scoped, test fired, & ready for the range. We’re all hoping that it’s a shooter. It looks great on paper but it needs range time for confirmation.

I bought the gun new, had it shipped to him, & a few months later it was used as a test gun for Luke’s new ignition system for the 50 cal.
Then it rested while we had several fun conversations about what I wanted & how to combine that with something that he wanted to do.
We found what we believe is a great melding if the minds & then it was Jeff talking with a barrel builder, a sniper, and others to determine the specs. Caliber, barrel length, twist rate, etc.
I have some pics but this is a Skunkworks project & Jeff will release everything when he’s ready.

Keep your eyes open & Enjoy your new gun.

Looks fantastic, George, and I have no doubts it will be a fantastic shooter, too. I can't wait to see the range reports. I agree heartily with your praise of Jeff. He is a terrific gun builder who is just a hell of a nice guy.

Very nice. That will be a fun one for sure. Can't wait to hear how it shoots. It better shoot well just to pay you back for all the time you have in waiting for it.

I can appreciate a name on a rifle. I have to admit though, before you explained it, I had to laugh. I read the name as a contraction of poor pronunciation.
DUNAMIS - DU(do) NA(not) MIS(miss). Both seem fitting.
