I understand they black powder is measured in volume but for the sake of it we're just going to call it grains with the standard measures on the market now the little plastic ones with the numbers up the sidethey say if you are using triple 7 you are the reduce it by 15% to 20% if you're using to ffg you reduce it by 15% and if you are using fffg you reduce it by 20% show if I measure 80 grains that's equal to 100 is that correct

I personally don't worry about the reduced percentage of T7. As long as you stay under 150gr. you will be OK within the guidelines. I use a brass T/C powder measure (volume) 75gr of 2Fg for the White shotgun/ 80gr. for .451 Super 91/ 90gr. for .504 Super 91 with no issues an take home meat every year. I load the powder measure to desired level then tap it with my finger (it will settle somewhat) then add more an close off the top funnel prior to loading. Some folks don't tap so its my preference, but use the same method every time to be consistent every shot.

Real close.... With a volume measure set at 100 grains it should weigh on a scale 77.7 for T7-2f. The reduction come when using T7-3f - is suppose to provide approximately 10-15% more peak pressure than 2f.

For comparison to most other real BP or the Pyro family T7-2f is in the area of providing 15% more pressure than them. Except real Swiss BP which has nearly the same pressure grade as T7-2f

Hope this is decipherable

I use T7-3f in both of my Whitelightings, Whitetail, Tominator, and Thunder Both shotguns I use 80gns one lighting I use 70gns and the other 80gns and the Whitetail 70gns. All by volume, use a CVA measure and the tap method.
