Yes, Oct 1. There are a few big bucks out there, but they don’t come easy.

I have a timer on my desktop that will count down any date you put in it...Sort of a joke with my hunting partner that is not as "ate up" with it as I am.

I'm with ya. 2nd week of Nov. For firearms season. End of Nov. For ML. I haven't hunted firearms season for about 10 years. This will be the first time. I'm taking my oldest out for his first year. Should be exciting.

I have enjoyed, Tenn. ml season for the last several years, hunting with my older brother. Looking forward to it again this year.

What part of Tennessee are you guys hunting?

We hunt public close to Whiteville and also Henderson Co. near Lexington.

I am in middle TN. These two deer came from just below Nashville.

ShawnT, where do you hunt? 4 months til archery?!

I live in NY but do all my deer hunting in SE Ohio on my families farm. And its 4 months till gun season, week after Thanksgiving. Archery there starts at the end of Sept but I had to give up the bow several years ago. I have not hunted in NY for many years now, used to hunt up in the Catskills and even the Adirondacks a couple times. I did hunt on Long Island with bow but when I had to give the bow up that stopped. Bow on Long Island starts in October.

Good thing i looked at this topic....almost forgot to apply for one of our managed hunts. Only had a few days left to apply. Managed hunt tags dont count against our normal tags and you can get 2 more deer for this hunt.
